FIVE Truths That Bring Praise to our Lips

I. God is Working for my Good. V. 4
A. YHWH used 7 x in Psalm 92
B. “My covenant keeping God loves to bring me joy!”
C. Application: Do I believe that God wants to bring me joy?
1. (John 17:13) "“I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them."
2. (John 10:10) "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
3. Romans 8:28 “all things work together for good. . . “
II. God is Thinking of my needs. V. 5
A. (Job 23:10) "But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold."
B. (Psalm 1:6) "For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish."

C. (John 10:27-28) "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand."

D. (Psalm 32:8) "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you."
E. (Psalm 121:3) "He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;"
III. God is Fair in His Judgments. 6-7
A. (Psalm 62:11-12) "One thing God has spoken, two things have I heard: that you, O God, are strong, and that you, O Lord, are loving. Surely you will reward each person according to what he has done.”

IV. God Rewards the Faithful. 9-11
A. Principle of life – Live for eternity! B. “Exalted my horn like a wild ox”
1. Horn = sign of strength

2. Fine oils = sign of consecration. Ex. 30:22-33

3. (Revelation 2:10) "Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life."

4. (Hebrews 11:6) "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because

anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

V. God Uses the faithful to Bring Him Glory
(John 14:13) "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father."
A. To comfort those in need.
1. “Flourish like a palm tree”
2. Palm trees provide shade
B. To provide for God’s people
1. “Grow like a cedar of Lenanon
2. Cedars of Lebanon – strength. Lumber. Building. Prosperity
C. To Lead others in Worship.
1. “Flourish in the courts of our God”
2. “Gather worshipers”
