Finding Yourself in the Psalms
Psalm 90
A Psalm to Help You Keep Things in Perspective
Pastor Lou and Frank were golfing: two of them griped endlessly. "The fairways are too long," said one. "The hills are too high," said the other. "The bunkers are too deep," said the first again. Finally the LESTER said, "At least we're on the right side of the grass."
At a shower tea I attended, the last gift to be opened was accompanied by a card reading: "May this always be so," and signed, "Much love, Mother and Dad."
Inside was a beautifully framed, yellowed piece of paper with childish handwriting on it, which had once graced the bulletin board in the bedroom of the young bride-to-be. There were tears in her eyes as she read us the message: "Today we had a test in history. I had to go to the dentist too. We did not win the paper drive. This is the worst day I have ever had in my life."– Author Unknown
