Can a Christian be used to accomplish Satan’s work?

A tool in Satan’s hands? YES

2 Tim 2:24-26

When does a believer become a tool in Satan’s hand?

1. When we murmur and complain. (Jude 16, NIV) "These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage."

2. When we become critical (2 Timothy 2:25, NIV) "Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,"

3. When we are conceited. (1 Timothy 3:6-7, NIV) "He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. He must also have

a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s

4. When we despise authority. (2 Peter 2:1-3, NIV) " But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping."

(2 Peter 2:10, NIV) "This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority. Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings;"

5. When we do not forgive. (2 Corinthians 2:11, NIV) "in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes."

6. When we are angry. (Ephesians 4:27, NIV) "and do not give the devil a foothold."

(Opportunity – NAS)

7. When we refuse to grow up. (1 Corinthians 3:2-3, NIV) "I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not

acting like mere men?"
