I. 24:1-6 Approaching God
A. God’s Purposes “The earth is the Lord’s”
1. He has a purpose
2. Everything will praise the Lord (Psalm 150:6 “let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
B. God’s Presence. “Who can ascend. . .”
1. Clean hands (actions)
2. Pure heart (attitude, motices)
3. No idols (priorities)
II. 24:7-10 Enjoying God
A. “Lift up your heads”. . . The inhabitants of the city welcome God’s presence
B. “Who is the King of Glory?”
1. The ARK – the glory of God
2. MESSIAH –
C. IN MATTHEW
1. Matt. 21:1-10 They welcome Jesus (human distinction)
2. Matt. 25:31. When he returns, he will be KING.
