Finding Yourself in the Psalms

Psalm 148

A Psalm of Awe and Worship

Do you scientifically describe a sunset?

Do you analyze the crashing of the waves on a deserted beach? Do yo calculate the voltage contained in a flash of lightning?

Do you recall your 9th grade science lesson on the photo spectrum when you see a

rainbow?

No, you watch in AWE.

Psalm 148 is a Psalm of Awe and worship

There IS structure, but it’s beauty lies in the words, thoughts and flow of the Psalm.

Sometimes, we focus on the details and structure so much that we forget the beauty of the

Word of God.

Interesting character on “Star Trek.” Futuristic show included “Spock” and “Data.”

Precise. Analytical. Informed. But their lack of emotion was pitied.
