Used in Deuteronomy 12:12

We can. . .

a. Worship the wrong God (Ahaz, Jezebel)

b. Worship the right God in the wrong way (Ballam)
c. Worship the right God with the wrong motives (Ananias and Syphira)
d. Worship the right God, in the right way, with the right motives. (John 4:23-24

For the Jewish pilgrim, worship happened in a specific place
FOR US, Worship is in spirit an truth. John 4:23-24
Psalm 122:6-9 The Pilgrim prays for PEACE in Jerusalem.
• we should pray for the “peace of Jerusalem”
• we should be a peace with other Christians so that our worship is not hindered.

Heb 12:14

Matthew 5:23-24

Eph 4:3 “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

This kind of PEACE honors God. Psalm 122:9
